Sunscreen. It’s one of those should-do things that we often don’t. The greasy feel, weird chemicals, and warning labels are often enough to deter any health-conscious or skin-sensitive individual, and so sun protection tends to fall by the wayside, especially for those who don’t appear to burn very easily like me!

Luckily, sun protection products have come a long way in the past several years as environmentally- and health-conscious mindsets come to the forefront of the consumer base. So, to celebrate the warming weather, I’ve put together a list of my favorite clean, cruelty free sunscreens to help you stay safe and eco-sound this Spring and Summer! Read on…

1 | Coola Suncare Sport Sunscreen Spray Broad Spectrum SPF 30

Anything Coola makes is amazing! I discovered their brand at Sephora several summers ago and have been hooked ever since! Their body sunscreen is minimally greasy and smells amazing! Plus, they are cruelty free and a local San Diego brand. Both wins in my book!

2 | Coola Face Mineral Sunscreen SPF 30- Matte Cucumber

This has been an essential of mine for years! I use it non-stop all year round and the matte finish is amazing! It’s kind of like a primer and sunscreen all in one, so it makes for a great base layer prior to foundation. It also comes in an unscented version if that’s your jam, but I love the fresh scent of cucumber, so this one is my top choice!

3 | Sun Bum Sunscreen Spray SPF 50

This is a fave of both me and my hubby! It’s always in stock in local surf stores around San Diego, but you can also find it in Target or Ulta (or by clicking the pic above!).

4 | Coola Mineral Liplux Organic Tinted Lip Balm Sunscreen SPF 30

Another Coola fave! My lips are the first to feel the sun, so I am always stocking up on SPF lip balm! This one is also tinted, which is perfect for those beach-to-dinner days!
