How to recreate this photoshoot…

If you want to recreate this easy Valentine’s Day photoshoot yourself, here’s what you’ll need:

  • Newspapers (I used about ten small newspapers! You can find newspapers at your local library, coffee shop, or ask friends and family for their used newspapers like I did!)
  • Clear tape (scotch tape works great!)
  • Wall, photo backdrop, or curtain
  • Photographer or camera stand/remote
  • Good lighting (natural lighting, ring light, photography lights, etc.)

Instructions:

  • Lay out all newspapers on a flat surface and tape together from the back so the tape isn’t visible. (You can lay out the newspapers straight like bricks, or even play around with different layouts to achieve a fun look!)
  • Tape the newspaper sheet to a wall or or photo backdrop/curtain.
  • Set up your lights if you’re using any and make sure your space is evenly lit (ie no harsh shadows or uneven light!)
  • Set up your camera or photographer. The goal is to not see any wall or curtain and only see newspapers, so be mindful of positioning here!
  • Have fun and pose it up!
  • Pro tip- if your lighting setup is still leaving you with awkward shadows, try using a shoe mount flash on your camera and a soft diffuser! Shop my photography setup below:

This 1920s flapper inspired outfit was hands down one of my FAVORITE looks to date! Combined with a fun pink flapper wig and vintage Gucci heels, this look was so incredibly fun to wear! Shop this Valentine’s Day outfit below by clicking on the images:
