how to upgrade your patio for under $500

Springtime is just about here, so it’s time to get outside and get your outdoor spaces ready for all the activities as the weather warms! We currently have a townhome which has one larger patio that we use a lot, so here’s how we redid our outdoor space for less than $500!

Statement Umbrella

A statement umbrella is one of those things that’s equally as instagrammable as it is functional! Plus, it can make it look like you spent more than you did on your space! These options from Amazon are really cute and bring a retro vibe to your home for not very much.

Retro Inspired Outdoor Furniture

Retro metal outdoor furniture tends to be cheaper, and is easier to maintain than wood. They have a ton of candy colors and are super easy to put together!

Potted Plants

Greenery is so perfect for any outdoor space, and it can help small spaces look lush and inviting! Pretty terra cotta pots are perfect to add a little visual interest and color, too.

String Lights

I’m a sucker for outdoor lighting, and a good pair of string lights can last you for seasons if you take care of them! I love good classic cafe lights but there’s a variety to choose from!

All together, if you pick one item from each category (possibly two from the outdoor furniture category), you’d spend around $400!
