3 Easy DIY Manis You Need to Try

Don’t get me wrong, going to the nail salon is SO much fun; it’s one of my favorite things to do when I need a little “me time”! But, sometimes time and money doesn’t leave a lot of room for extras. Having my nails done prettily makes me feel like I have it all together (even though I don’t lol), so I’ve had to learn to do ‘em myself. Luckily, I have a few go-to manis for when I want something quick and easy, but still cute! Read on…

1 | Clean Lines

Calling all minimalists! This is the style for you if you love natural nails, but want an elegant twist! (It could even work for bridal!) Thin metallic nail tape is stuck on nails coated with a clear polish/base coat, and sealed with at least two coats of topcoat to help adhere the ends in this modern design. You could also do a holiday-inspired variant on this design with red and green tape!

2 | Watercolors

Swirling colors are so fun, and you really could use just about any combo you want for this mani! Just dot, glob, or swipe on patches of color, then top off with a sheer glittery or clear topcoat while the color’s still a little wet to blend the colors! These are also the perfect Earth Day nails if you use blue + green like I did (they just remind me of a globe!).

I used Olive&June nail polish in Lime Fizz, Blueberry Smash, and Cosmic! Use code tabitha for a discount! Ring from Amazon.

3 | Foil Pressed

Not just for wedding invitations, pressing metallic foil looks so chic on nails! It heartens back to the crackle top coats of the 2010s, but looks modern when paired over natural nails! Just do a light base coat, wait for it to dry until slightly sticky, then press on sheets of manicure transfer foil and peel off for a spacey look!

I used Olive&June nail polish in Cosmic and these nail foil transfer sheets! Rings by Boho Magic here and here.

Hoping all your manis stay chip-free!
