There’s nothing quite like the northeast coast in late August. Warm rainstorms, cold lobster rolls, and pastel hydrangeas flanking cape cod-style cottages mixed with the salty scent of the sea… What a dream!
We spent a week visiting Rockland, Maine and the surrounding towns of Camden, Owl’s Head, Rockport, and even the lighthouse from Forrest Gump! Sleeping with windows open and ocean breezes coming in, spending mornings following misty hiking trails by the coast; this trip was just the thing we needed after a hectic month of traveling.

Mid-Century Vintage Vibes
I found this consignment shop in Rockland, Maine called Curator Consignment, and it was the mother lode of mid-century and quirky vintage clothes! Combined with my vintage hauls from Austin, Texas, I styled SO many vintage looks that I can’t get enough of!! The cream lace dress below and the charcoal velvet dress above were both Curator Consignment finds, and the two colorful dresses below were finds from Prototype Vintage in Austin, TX!

I always love visiting the east coast in the summer time; there’s something romantic and peaceful about lush green forests on the edge of rocky coastlines mixed with historic buildings and classic Americana. I can’t wait to go back and visit soon!
