I was recently asked what my favorite pair of shoes are, and where they’ve taken me, and as a fashion-obsessed gal with over 300 pairs of shoes, this was not an easy question to answer!

I’ve narrowed it down, and there are two pairs of shoes that come to mind that I just love and mean so much to me. Read on to find out what my favorites are and why they’re so special…
Christian Louboutin So Kate Pumps
First and foremost, my absolute favorite pair of shoes are my Christian Louboutin So Kate pumps in black patent leather. These shoes are my favorite for two reasons: first, they were a surprise gift from my husband, and second, they’re a pair of shoes I always dreamed of having in my closet.
My husband surprised me with these shoes and he picked them out (including sizing) all on his own. It means so much to me that he knew what I wanted, what size I’d take, and managed to surprise me. Every time I see these shoes, I think of him and remember how lucky I am that he’s my husband.
On a related note, when I was in college, I remember seeing a lot of the girls that were well off wearing Louboutin heels for special occasions, and I set a goal that someday I would be able to afford a pair myself. I mean, having a pair of Louboutins in your closet is huge for a fashionista! Especially when I couldn’t ever dream of affording something like this back then. To work hard and be able to afford my dream shoes was a major milestone for me, so these Christian Louboutin heels are much more than just a pair of shoes. (So much so that I haven’t actually worn them out of the house because I want the red soles to stay pristine, lol!)
Jimmy Choo Sabine 85 Pearl Pumps
Almost tied and a very close second for my favorite pair of shoes are my Jimmy Choo Sabine 85 pearl pumps. There’s a bit of a backstory here, so let’s dive in!
When my husband and I were first married, we met some friends in Vegas and went to the XS club at the Wynn to see Kygo perform. While we were there, I saw a girl wearing the most STUNNING Jimmy Choo heels covered in pearls of all different sizes. I was practically drooling! These were the Jimmy Choo Sacora pumps, and I’ve had them bookmarked ever since.
Fast forward to 2023, and the hubby and I wanted to renew our vows in Vegas for our five year anniversary, and I thought, what’s better than this special occasion for these shoes? Well, I still didn’t want to shell out the over-$2K price tag for these coveted Jimmy Choo heels, so I had to think of a plan for making my dream shoes a reality.
My brother in law and his girlfriend were visiting for the weekend, and it just so happened that a friend told me about the Jimmy Choo outlet at the Cabazon outlet mall, so we planned a day trip to the outlets with me praying that I’d find my “heel-y” grail (lol). When we walked into the store, I immediately zoned in on these pearl-covered pumps. Not the Jimmy Choo Sacora pumps, but the Jimmy Choo Sabine pumps. They dazzled me just as much as the Sacora pumps, but the price tag dazzled me even more: they were over $1,000 LESS than the Sacora pumps!
Back to our vow renewal, I wore my sole-mates while celebrating with my soulmate, and had the best time strutting the streets of Vegas with these gorgeous Jimmy Choo heels! I wore it with another stunning find: the Celestial Zodiac dress from Zimmermann (that I also got on sale!).
These two pairs of shoes might not be the flashiest or even most expensive pairs of shoes in my closet, but they’ll always be on my top favorite shoes list for the sentimental meaning behind them! Though both of these shoes will probably spend the most time on my shelf in a place of honor instead of walking the streets (because I love them too much to risk damaging them!), I still look at them every day and smile.
