Style Diaries – A Weekend in Austin, TX

Not gonna lie, going to Austin, Texas in August is a special kind of HOT… But, Austin is just so darn cute that it’s worth it! Here’s what I wore for a weekend in this wonderfully weird city…

Boots, Boots, and More Boots…

Texas is the cowboy state, so you know I had to bring on the cowboy boots! To be honest, plain boots (or really plain anything) isn’t really my vibe, so I found a ton of over-the-top, fun cowboy boots to pack! From butterflies to bling to colorful designs, I’m all about making a statement in a new city. Shop boots inspired by the ones I wore below:

Western-Inspired Touches…

Fringe, tooled leather, embroidery, lace, and cow print are all perfect touches to incorporate that western vibe into an outfit. Although, one thing you can’t see in these photos is the amount of efforts and sweat it took to get out of these leather pants… I would advise against leather clothing above temps of 80 degrees lol! Shop my western inspired clothing picks below:

Big, Blingy Hats…

A cowgirl isn’t the same without her hat, and I’m a huge fan of 1950s rhinestone cowgirl vibes, so I picked the most Barbie-inspired cowgirl hats to top off my looks! Shop my favorite blingy cowgirl hats below:

Vintage Vibes…

One of my favorite things about Austin is the amazing vintage clothing scene! When we were here, I dragged my husband into several vintage and secondhand clothing stores, and boy did we find some good stuff!! I found a ton of mid-century dresses, like the one I’m wearing in the photos above! If you’re looking for amazing mid-century vintage clothing, but can’t make it to Austin, check out my picks on Etsy for you to shop wherever you are:

Overall, Austin was such a fun city and definitely worth visiting! The city is full of amazing restaurants and shops, and the landscape is so pretty! Stay tuned and be sure to follow my blog for more style diaries and outfit inspo!
